Jacqueline Maduneme, CEO and founder of Compliance Core, has spent her 30-year career leading strategic and operational risk management initiatives and delivering on new technology capabilities in large-scale operational and regulatory compliance-driven projects. Over the course of her career in regulatory and operational risk management, Jacqueline has developed and managed sophisticated assurance programs, tailoring and providing creative solutions for a broad range of clients.
Jacqueline served as senior compliance executive for enterprise compliance programs and market regulations at SunTrust. For 10 years, she worked at PwC advising hedge fund and private equity clients on their KYC/CDD obligations. As senior compliance executive at Citigroup, she led the AML function for the capital markets and alternative investments divisions in North America, developing comprehensive AML processes. As an adjunct law professor at Charleston School of Law, she taught AML/Sanctions Regulations. In her role as Head of Enterprise Compliance Programs at Truist Bank, Jacqueline led a team that implemented the beneficial ownership rule and oversaw the AML/TF activities for the capital markets business. As chief audit executive at Teacher Retirement System of Louisiana, she established and directed the system’s first internal audit function.
With a deep understanding of legitimate business structures and transaction activity, as well as tax frameworks, Jacqueline leverages her expertise and insights into the design of AML and Sanctions programs and technology-enabled solutions.
Jacqueline is a CFA and CAIA charters holder and a CPA. She earned her L.L.M. in international tax from New York University’s Graduate School of Law, her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and her B.S. in accounting from Southern University and Agriculture and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge. She is a frequent grader for the CFA Institute Level 3 exam.
