Surface Preperation

The most common cause of premature coatings failure is an inadequate anchor pattern. Also known as Mil, etch or profile.

Attaining the right anchor pattern specified by the coating manufacturer will ensure proper adhesion to the surface it is being applied to.

Each coating will have different requirements. Simply blasting a surface clean without technical information on what mil profile that particular coating requires will risk premature coatings failure.

When prepping metals for paint. Holdtight 102 is used in the water stream which effectively ensures that the surface is thoroughly cleaned for paint. Holdtight 102 is a salt remover / flast rust preventer and is a cost-effective alternative to single purpose, multi-step salt removal products.
